Iron Chef Contest Friday 2pm - Judging At 5pm

Important: All contestants must pre-register their team at least a week in advance.

You must pre-register with Viscountess Aramanthra (Aramanthra@aol.com) You will receive e-mail confirmation of your registration.

Only one name is needed to hold pre-registration. Teams can be one to four people.

All pre-registered teams can receive a copy of the rules by mail, if requested.

On the day of the contest, entrants should show up promptly at 2 pm at the contest area. Late entrants will only harm themselves, as the time limit of the contest will be strictly enforced. The order of contestants for picking boxes will be determined randomly, by dice roll or another method. Teams will then each get three minutes (timed) to pick their box. Each box will contain a recipe in its original Medieval English form, a copy of the rules and all of the ingredients necessary to make the dish in the recipe. The box may also contain one or more ingredients that are not in the recipe.  If any recipe requires equipment that a reasonably well-prepared SCA camp cook will not have or can't reasonably obtain onsite, then the box will also contain highly specialized utensils. No ingredients will be labeled in any way. Contestants will be expected to have water and salt at their disposal.
